The Il-Majjistral walk at Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park, near Għajn Tuffieħa, follows an exposed stretch of coastline where rock, sea, and sky meet without interruption. The terrain is rugged but manageable with sturdy shoes, revealing long sea views, weathered stone, and pockets of wild growth shaped by wind and salt.
What defines this walk is its sense of openness. With nothing to contain the view, the landscape feels expansive — almost maritime — as if you are standing on the deck of a ship, slowly sailing away from land. In winter light, the shrubs catch the sun and briefly glow with a silvery sheen, an effect felt more than seen, fleeting and unrecordable.
